Chuck Zeiler 48Q
CB&Q F7 165A
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad F7 165A eastbound at Naperville, Illinois on August 12, 1966, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Seen here with the sanders on, 165A is leaving Naperville after performing switching duties normally done by the East End Way Freight, which apparently had been annulled this day for reasons I do not know. I witnessed this three locomotive set switch Kroehler Mfg. Co. ( the building in the background ), normally switched by a NW2 or a GP7, and they were quick to leave town. Number 165A was built in May 1950 ( c/n 9694 ) and traded in on an order for SD45's in February 1969.
