Heathrow Terminal 5 Station
Despite there being one station at Heathrow terminal 5, the stations are separated. From the platforms below, you can see both mainline and London Underground trains at the platform. If you arrive at London Heathrow, there are two ways to get into London By train, the Heathrow Express, or the London Underground. The Heathrow express will take one to the Centre of London in 15 minutes up to speeds of 100mph. The heathrow express is much faster than the tube, but is considerably more expensive.
London Heathrow is on the Picadilly tube line (Navy Blue line), and cuts across the heart of London, giving arrivals in England direct access to the shops and sights of London, however, the Piccadilly line is considerably sluggish and takes around 40-45 minutes into Central London, compared to the Heathrow express. There is also the Heathrow Connect, which offers a shuttle service to Terminal 4, and Heathrow Connect services from Terminal 4 into London. From 2018 the Cross rail, London's new light rail metro is intended to call here.
