Guard of Honour

It took me a while to post another photo from Orwochrom series, mostly because restoration of these slides is very challenging :) I was also busy a bit shooting FP4 (120), Portra (finally!) and my fav Ektar with new Canon AE1 Program (it already became an extension of me - gosh, I love this camera!).

Here what you can see is a guard of honour on Kościuszki square (Tadeusz Kościuszko was a Polish army officer and statesman who gained fame both for his role in the American Revolution and for his leadership of a national insurrection in his homeland - britannica.com). This is a view towards city centre. In the centre of this photo taken most probably in 1980 there's a monument in remembrance of fighters for national and social liberation (difficult to translate - old, socialistic denomination was horribly pompous). In 1946 this monument replaced another old monument of prussian general Friedrich Bogislav Von Tauentzien (former name of this square was Tauentzien Platz).
