MEDDAC BAVARIA WELCOMES NEW COMMANDER

VILSECK, Germany – Brigadier General Dennis LeMaster, commanding general, Regional Health Command, Europe (RHCE) presided over the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity Bavaria (MEDDAC Bavaria) Change of Command ceremony Tuesday, 8 August at the Rose Barracks parade Field. During the ceremony Col. Andrew Powell relinquished command to Col. Mark Swofford. During the ceremony LeMaster received the MEDDAC Bavaria colors from Col. Powell, and passed them to incoming commander Col. Swofford, signifying the responsibility he accepts as the new Commander of U.S. Army Medical Department Activity Bavaria. In his remarks LeMaster praised Powell’s accomplishments and leadership and welcomed Swofford to his new command in Bavaria. In attendance at the event representing their respective MEDDAC Bavaria Clinics were Lt. Col. Burke Bristow (Ansbach), Lt. Col. Rose Smyth (Grafenwoehr), Lt. Col. Stacy Holman (Hohenfels), Lt. Col. (P) Theodore Brown and Lt. Col. Vanessa Worsham (Vilseck).
