The fine print
Most model cars in my collection have blank rubber (sometimes just plastic) sidewalls on the tyres, but a few go to the trouble of putting the tyre manufacturer on there, just for extra detail. My CMC Ferrari 250 GTO goes that one step further and puts the other fine print on there too. Those two very thin lines of lettering near the bottom of the tyre read : Made in England - Fabriqué en Angleterre. For racing purposes only - Not for highway use.
The whole wheel and tyre measure about 39mm in diameter and that fine print is just 0.39 of a mm in height for each letter. Those stainless steel spokes are themselves just 0.15 of a mm thick or about twice the thickness of the average human hair!
You know what they say - small things amuse small minds! I am amused! ; )
