Langi Ghiran

While the town of Ararat and surrounds were shrouded in a blanket of fog, the view from nearby One Tree Hill toward Mount Langi Ghiran was like looking over a sea to a distant island.

 

Langi Ghiran is the name given by the local Djab Wurrung people, and translates as "home of the yellow tailed black cockatoos".
