The general store

Although the good old fashioned general store is fast disappearing from many small country towns, I believe this one is still going strong. This is the Georgetown General store which dates back to 1912, and is in South Australia's mid north in a rich farming area. It is a small town with a population of less than 200, but services a large rural area. It is one of those wonderful old stores that you could get everything and anything in and serves as the town's post office.

A pseudo forced perspective shot of a well weathered 1/24th scale die-cast model 1950 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck, in front of the backdrop of the Georgetown general store as it was in 2010. This shot is a re-edit of one from a series of shots from a few months back were the truck was full of potatoes - this is the unloaded version, lit and edited for an "old color print" look.
