Getting together for peace in Ukraine
I don't normally get on current trends or make political statements with any of my images, but sometimes you have to say something about the madness happening on the other side of the world. Let us hope for peace.
On a lighter note, this image is of the annual New Year's Day duck race on the Moyne river in Port Fairy on Victoria's south coast. It is an annual fund raising event where you can "buy" a numbered duck and then the ducks are released into the incoming tide and the currents sweep them along the river to the finish line. It attracts huge crowds every year.
I hope and wish for some of this happiness and togetherness to go to the people of Ukraine.
