Rocky and Digger!
From the Big Trip 3D slide archives - 2004.
On our journey around the country, it was always a great pleasure to meet and talk to people everywhere. Here on one of the beautiful beaches in Esperance in Western Australia, we met this nice gentleman who introduced us to Rocky and Digger. Rocky was the larger of the two German Shepherds and Digger was his little brother. Rocky had won many titles in competitions all round the country, and Digger was in training. He definitely set off my "cute-o-meter" with his bandaged leg, one ear that refused to stay upright and poking out the tongue at just the right moment! Here he reluctantly obeyed the hand gesture to "stay" but as soon as the owner moved out of shot, Digger was off exploring the beach, and digging! So, I was lucky to get this shot in first!
The beach was one of many surrounding Esperance which has one of the most beautiful coastlines I have seen. Between the pale sands, stunning clear waters, islands and rocky headlands, it was an enchanting place.
