Making a fence

This series of drawings was produced in villages around Nam Bak, a rural district of northern Laos.

 

Drawn from life, in people’s yards and gardens, the drawings focus on people involved in everyday activities like; making baskets, knives, and ‘Kai Paen’, a snack made with waterweed harvested from local rivers.
