The Bubble Nebula

My latest image from the backyard is the dynamic 'bubble nebula' in Cassiopeia. This is an excellent target for telescopes of any focal length.

This picture includes just 8 hours of total exposure time using a high-end refractor telescope from my backyard in the city over the course of 2 (hot) nights.

I used narrowband filters and a mono camera to isolate the most important wavelengths of light emitted by this nebula. A color camera with a dual-band filter will also work great on this object.

This is another test shot using the Willial Optics UltraCat 108. It's a huge crop from a much larger field of view - but the resolution is decent even up close IMO!
