Rare sight

3 flakes of snow in Wales causes complete meltdown as it does for most of the UK. I went to work yesterday on my day off in order to help, didn’t undertake my usual duties which made for an interesting few hours. The trade off for leaving the family was a walk to work, but a friend saw me half way and drove me part way in which was very kind.

The Roath brook is not far from work, in all my years of working in this area I’ve nearly seen it nearly frozen over. I was slightly frustrated that I had not taken my camera with me but having to leave in haste I had to make a snap decision and not take camera was the thinking- too slippery and potentially cold for the camera. The 3.5mile walk home was very pleasant with very few driving on the roads and those of us that here walking were chatting to each other. After a spot of lunch my youngest and friends went sledging in some of the local fields. 10 miles of walking yesterday I certainly slept last night!
