The Lone, a little stream in the so called Lone valley, runs in a very old glacial valley on the Suebian highland. along that valley there are many caves, and a lot of them were inhabitated by Cromagnon and also Neanderthals during the Ice Age. Very famous archaeological sites like Vogelherd and Geisenklösterle allowed a very deep look on the daily life of our ancestors.
