This picture was taken as part of a challenge at my local camera club. The camera used has a maximum shutter speed of up to one sixteenth thousandth of a second so using a remote and firing the shutter continuously as I dropped the apple into a bowl of water I was able to catch the apple as it splashed into the water, all without the use of fancy timing equipment or triggers. This particular picture was captured at a five thousandth of a second and was the best of around 200 captured in the space of 10 minutes.
