Large Blue (Glaucopsyche arion)

This is the largest blue butterfly found in the British Isles and was declared extinct in 1979. After a reintroduction programme it is still scarce but holding it's own. It was fabulous to find this female at Daneway Banks nature reserve in Gloucestershire.
