Birds Eye View of Vernazza, Cinque Terre
Every village you visit is a treat to the eye. Vernazza is not an exception.
Stacked with colorful villages and spectacular coastal views, it is impossible not to be awed by Cinque Terre. A Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997, Cinque Terre, many claim, is no longer the undiscovered Eden it once. Who cares? Sinuous paths traverse seemingly impregnable cliffsides, a 19th-century railway line cuts through several coastal tunnels and ferries bring you to the footsteps of each colorful village. Cars were banned over a decade ago. A work out is guarantee while exploring each village on foot. From my point of view, the beauty you will witness outweighs the sore feet. My wife agrees too.
