Scissor-tailed flycatcher (branchlings)

This was a real treat. While on my morning walk around the lake (sans camera), I heard the commotion of chicks in a nest. I hiked back to my home and grabbed my gear. I found this trio to be in various stages of staying in the nest to venturing onto branches. I'm always mindful of spending too much time in "close" proximity to a nest, but Mom and Dad weren't bothered as they made several trips to the nest bearing breakfast.
