Colchuck Lake winter camping

This is my most frequent lake in the Alpine Lake Wilderness area in the PNW. It is the gateway to the majestic Enchantments core areas, and also pretty in its own way. This lake is normally a summer destination when you can see turquoise color water and reflections. In the winter, the lake becomes frozen and you'd have to snowshoe an additional 3.5 miles to get here.

This is my second time here in the winter time and this time the weather didn't really cooperate. I snapped this photo in the blue hour right before I slept. You can see Aasgard pass, Dragontail peak and Colchuck peak in this photo.
