Mono Lake
This was a family reunion trip and I finally got to take my parents travelling around the U.S as we normally did before Covid. Unlike my other photography-oriented trips, where I plan the itinerary around sunset/sunrise and best photo spots, the goal of this trip was to give my parents the best experience so they can bring back good memories.
This shot was taken at Mono Lake. I have been there both at sunrise and sunset and got great conditions. This time we only had 30 minutes for a quick stop in the mid-day harsh light condition. Despite not having the most inspiring light, the cloud on the sky was quiet unique and I found this dead tree branch which nicely frames the tufa in the distance. I also like the black and white conversion which accentuates the contrast.
