Bisti Badlands - Cooked Mushroom
This is Bisti Badlands wilderness in New Mexico, an area full of ancient rocks. This particular one is called "Giant Mushroom" which literally looks like a mushroom. It is said to be formed through millions of years of corrosion. Nature is really the best sculptor.
This image was not planned. I stayed the night near this area and spent the morning wandering and trying to find something interesting. It was a very chaotic place with so many hoodoos, and it was overwhelmingly hard to compose a clean image. However, as the sun rose and I turned into this corner, I saw this giant mushroom catch on the first light from the day and it was so unique！
