Double colored dunes

Despite I enjoy the grand landscapes, there are often times I like capturing the intricate details, shape and textures of nature and I find that dunes is a great place for that type of shots.

 

This image was captured in Great Sand Dunes National Park in a very cold winter day. I was surprised to find a blanket of snow on some dunes in the early morning and as the sun rose and lit up the higher dunes, it created an interesting color difference with shape similarity.
