Almost there
I've thought about hiking up to the top of Half Dome for years, and this year I finally got a permit to do so.
The image shows the most famous section of the entire hike - the cable part, which is basically a 45-60 degree angle rock surface with cables to grab onto. I knew this would be steep and hard, but it was even steeper than I had imagined. It was truly a different and a little scary experience.
A fun fact - I returned to the bottom of the cable section the next day after my summit just to take some photos of others doing it. This image shows two hikers climbing up the steepest section and they were almost to the top.
