Hide in the distance

Last year in August, my friends and I did a backpacking trip in Mt.Baker wilderness hoping to capture some meteors at night. However, it was also around that time that the wildfire had been so severe and caused widespread smoke across the state. As a result we didn't get a clear view of night sky but the landscape during the day also changed dramatically.

 

This image was taken in the early morning. Mt.Shuksan was hiding the in thick smoke with pre-dawn colors warming up the sky.
