White sands sunset

Shooting sunset at White Sand National Park is very tricky. The park closes its gate an hour after sunset when I was there. That sounds like enough time, but in reality to find the pristine dunes I had to hike at least 30 minutes from parking lot and it was another 20 minutes drive from parking lot to the park entrance gate. To have all those times sum up, I was always on a rush after my sunset shoot. Running in freezing cold on soft dunes is very tiring but hey what to complain about when you get a photo of your fav composition in this park with a glowing sky.
