Painted Hills sunset

This is a place that I've marked on my map for a long time, but didn't really have time to visit due to its distance from where I live. During my July road trip in Oregon, I finally had a chance to see it with my real eyes.

On the day I visited this place, it was crystal clear blue sky with no cloud coverage. It's a nice day to enjoy the nature, but not so much in terms of photography opportunities. Although I do enjoy the sweeping views of these other-worldly rock formations, capturing them all with a wide angle lens just doesn't justify the scene, especially when there is an empty blue sky above them. So I chose to go with a long lens to capture the parts that really stood out to me. Hope you enjoy this portion of Painted Hills in my capture.
