Saguaro Forest

Wandering among tens of thousands of giant Saguaro cacti. I was overwhelmed by how large and diverse they are. They look very similar in a far distance, but very different when up close. Their "skin" is hard like rock, and full of different textures.

This image was a lucky find when I was doing a short hike in Saguaro National Park in Arizona. The day was overcast and I wasn't able to find any unique and interesting cactus and compositions until I saw these foreground cacti. They were close to each other, with a gap in middle. I walked around these cacti and found that through that gap, more cacti in the distance were perfectly framed. I set up my tripod to tweak the composition for more balance and stability, and this turns out to be a shot I really like.
