1976 Hilo Airport

1976 - Preparing for the Grand Opening of the present-day terminal facilities at General Lyman Field (Hilo International Airport). Years ago the boarding procedure for flights departing Hilo was to wait in this lobby for your flight. When your airplane was ready to board, an announcement would be made and passengers would begin to line up along the glass windows (out of view to the right). An agent would then open the line for passengers to proceed up the escalators, and to the jetbridge.
