Kaikoura

by fiordland_lover

"Meal of Crayfish" is the meaning of Kaikoura in Maori language, reflects the importance of the sea and marine life in this area. Kaikoura is very famous for marine life watching, mainly whale watching. We also can enjoy other water activities including swimming with dolphins. The beauty of Kaikoura Ranges which are the extension of Soutthern Alps Ranges with the coastal beauty can be enjoyed in the township of Kaikoura (credit to Kaikoura Whale Watching and DK Eyewitness Travel New Zealand). I visited Kaikoura 10 times during my summer, winter and spring holidays and I really enjoyed my time here especially my encounter with Sperm Whales and rare Hector Dolphins.
