Feb 15 2023 Aurora
Stopped on my way home to take a couple of photos last night.
It was cloudy, the wind was crazy, I turned my vehicle around and was just going to leave, but I stopped and decided to take a few shots from inside with the window down.
I am so glad I stayed, I was treated to one of the best Auroral displays I have seen. It was just an inconsequential small glow on the horizon, but when it erupted it light up the sky, I've rarely seen the reds naked eye, but last night they were very prominent.
I have not boosted the colours here at all they are basically straight out of the camera, it was a spectacular show, and even with a 14mm lens on a full frame camera I could not capture the entire Aurora.
These photos are from a Sony A7Rii with a Sigma 20mm@2.8 8-10s shots.
