Pirate tavern
This MOC was built for the finale, fifth round of contest with "Pirate" theme. It was very fun to build such a crazy architecture.)
Architecture of Tortuga was actually mind blowing. On the ship Marco had asking about this place but answers were vague:
"You must see this place by yourself"
And expressive glances.
Theirs boat slided in the turbid water among billowing building. It seems they was building by some mad architect. Several others were piled up on one building. Pipes stuck out in all directions, on top of them were laid wooden gangways.
Tortuga grew chaotically, due to the lack of land, the new buildings were actually had building on top of the old ones. Often it led to awful consequences: some buildings just crashed into the water. But soon new ones were erected in their place. There has never been a shortage of people here.
In general, Tortuga was a chain of islands linked together by human efforts. The settlement of these places began a hundred years ago, when the pirates accumulated enough property to begin to settle somewhere. And this cluster of small islands, far from any trade routes and borders, turned out to be ideal.
The tavern to which Marco and the captain were heading had the best reputation on Tortuga, and yet looked like some dubious hangout in the port of London. But it had a much crazier architecture.
Nevertheless, it was here that a meeting with a mysterious person was scheduled, who, it was claimed, could create food directly from the air, turn rocks into smoke and almost revive the dead.
Of course, most likely, these were just stupid tales, but at least one of these abilities would be very useful in the upcoming journey to the ends of the world.
