Factions of Another Earth: Chicago Police
Every Megacity needs a way to keep order and Chicago is no different. However, Chicago is much larger than most other Megacities, with Hong Kong being the one obvious exception, and as such just cannot seem to keep up with the needed numbers for police officers. Being perpetually short handed has led to a number of changes in recent years, the main one being that Police generally don’t go to Old Towne. They’re far too busy maintaining the peace on the upper level where the elite and corporations pay them to be and on the mid level where many of the manufacturing and industrial interests of those same people are.
While the main body of the CPD tends to stay out of Old Towne this isn’t to say that all police are like minded. sometimes all it takes is one good cop to make a difference and no matter how jaded the department may have become, some remember that.
