My youngest turns 35 tomorrow so I pulled out the art supplies. You know...to save time and money! π It has been a crazy long time since I have created any art, so it took me for-ev-er to get started. It took even longer for me to pull it all together into a card. Let's not count the hours and leave it at "A Marathon Event," of epic proportions! πππ I really love the bright, summery, and tropical feel of the card. Now I have a hankering for a Mai Tai or Pina Colada...with one of those little umbrellas! πΉ
I used the "Summer Flowers" and "Thoughtful Messages" stamp sets, both from Simon Says Stamp's new Cherished Collection, and watercolored with Distress Inks. The background is a piece, that I created in March, using the new Distress Oxide Inks. This is also for the "Birthday Bash" SSSflickrchallenge#72.
