The finished pot

Nazca, Peru. We'd been to the museum in Nazca and seen all the amazing pottery. So we'd asked our guide if anyone made pottery in the same style. So he took us along an alley way and into the pottery studio. The potter explained that his father came across pot moulds, implements and other items on the desert, so taught himself to make pots in the traditional shapes and designed, a skill he then passed on to his son. With a few deft moves, he transformed a lump of clay onto a smooth, round pot.
