Honest Work
Members of the Steam Railroading Institute tend to Pere Marquette 1225's valve gear after Sunday's northbound run of the Cadillac Limited. Its a noisy and filthy job, but its honest work to keep the trains we love running. The fall color tour train started in Mt. Pleasant and ran north along the former Ann Arbor Railroad mainline into the hilly and picturesque region of northern Michigan. 1225's return to the region was welcomed by many, railfans and the general public alike, so thank you to the SRI for putting on this excursion!
