En una cantera abandonada del municipio de Biar, hay una pequeña depresión del terreno donde se acumula cierta cantidad de agua de lluvia y es aquí donde viven un número determinado de especies de odonatos.
Entre ellos podemos encontrar este zigóptero, un macho de Chalcolestes viridis, al que le suele gustar posarse en la vegetación próxima al agua y en muchas ocasiones en las zonas de sombra.
Hay que aprovechar sus incursiones a terrenos soleados para poder fotografiarlos con menor dificultad.
