Sea Smoke & The Isle
A long strand of sea smoke partially obscures [from left to right] DMIR dock no. 6, Great Lakes Fleet articulated tug-barge combo Presque Isle, and DMIR dock no. 2 from full view on this crisp, beautiful day from May of 2023. A keen eye will notice a strong of ore jennies on the departure track behind dock no. 6 in the far background. What I can only assume was dock personnel are seen in their little speedboat inspecting things from below. A minute or two after this was taken, they went between dock nos. 2 and 6 for this purpose. Taken at Agate Bay in Two Harbors, MN on 5/11/23.
