Concrete slab

Concrete Slab Repair in Ventura County

Concrete slabs often crack as time passes. If left untreated, cracks can grow in size, causing severe damage to your home. A cracked slab can eventually pull apart walls, create drainage problems, and even allow a variety of bugs and vermin to enter the home. Concrete slab foundations are the primary type of foundation in Ventura County and cities within the county such as Oxnard, Camarillo, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

Concrete slab cracks are usually due to a problem in the soil characteristics. Soils under the foundation may expand from large amounts of water or compress from a lack of water or drier climate. Soil issues caused by climate shifts are especially relevant in Ventura County as it is a coastal region which experiences frequent soil moisture and contrasting temperatures throughout the year.

Built Strong’s quick but quality foundation slab repairs will prevent any further irritating problems.

Severe damage can occur when a crack develops in the center of the foundation, eventually spreading to the perimeters of the home where the problem becomes visible.

Our method for Slab Repair and Cracking

We use a rebar method or/with a crack injection material. The rebar method is completed by using steel bars which are threaded and inserting them into concrete before it hardens. Once the concrete is dried the rebars add strength and may prevent any future cracking. Crack injections are used to fill in areas of concrete creating a bond. There are 2 different types of injection materiel used to fill concrete cracks.

Epoxy Injections: May be used to secure concrete settling or cracks. This Epoxy will create a form bond within the concrete foundation and your homes foundation problems can be improved in a matter of hours
