So I would say the debate being how to structure such a simple shot.... Prescribed academic tenets would dictate to place it off from the center and apply the 1/3 principle.
However ask any New Topographics photographer and they would say take you artistry out of it and show it for what it is..
Just find a way that everything fits 'nicely' into the frame.
John Sarkowski did not rate photographic education very highly and in fact he thought it "could harm creativity, constraining one's personal visual exploration."
