Leiter Color
The prime reason I turned away from B&W photography was Saul Leiter. The way he used color beyond visual content was a revelation for me.
So when I saw this fine man in his gold parka I was set to shoot. Little did I expect a wonderful red sedan would make my shot.
Color - beautiful, delicious color.
Orpiment mineral is a bright yellow color with a golden glow. Its resemblance to gold was a constant tantalization to the ancient and medieval painters.
Alizarin is a red dye found in the roots of the madder plant and the powdered roots are used directly in textile dyeing process.
