The Chicagoans
Alive with energy the intercontinental bicyclist comes swooshing down state street.
Looking on in amazement the crowd is overjoyed by the poetry of his motion.
My little homage to Jacques Henri Lartigue; 1912 - Grand Prix photo.
I saw this bicyclist coming down the street and decided I wanted to get as close to him as possible. I took two steps into the street and had one shot.
The reason the crowd is looking at us is because our bicyclist was singing (at the top of his voice) attracting their attention...
An enjoyable and singular moment.
camera: Zenit 122
cloth curtain shutter
lens: Industar - 50-2 pancake lens
film: Kono Monolit 35mm (my absolute favorite film)
setting: f/4.0 at 1/60
Below in the canyons of Chicago it was still dark. However the morning light was wonderfully bouncing around off the skyscraper's windows into the canyon.
