Impossible choices
So there you are, standing around waiting for a bus and suddenly you realise that you can either travel on a Metro-Scania Metropolitan going in one direction or a Van Hool Astromega going in the other. I mean, how the heck is one supposed to decide between those two? LOL! A nice dilemma to have, I guess.
If you haven’t already guessed, they were Ensignbus vehicles…. well, who else would it be? Really! The Metropolitan, MD60 (KJD 260P), is seen here, still looking absolutely stunning as it makes a right-hand turn. This bus will be forty years old next year, yet completed only six and a half years service with London Transport before being stored for the next thirty by various owners. It only returned to the road last year; probably one of the most welcome additions to the scene in recent times, certainly in my book.
