Somewhere behind the wildfire smoke is what the weather forecasted as being a clear blue sky, as CPKC Train 120-18 drifts east along the shore of Holeb Pond, knocking down the final miles to the crew change at Jackman.
The Holeb-Boundary region is an extremely scenic, but remote area being accessible only by rail or a 20 mile dirt logging road. Unfortunately the shot I was going for on the opposite side of the tracks, was missed by the brush cutting contractor CP hired back in 2021 and was still hopelessly grown in, so this shot from the pond side had to do.
