Yes.
I’ve been working on a Thanos bigfig since like 2015, but scrapped him like twice because I realized that bigfigs are wildly innacurate.
Thanos:
Since bigfigs don’t work, and I feel like keychains are too big, I went with an extended method.
The torso- Started as a regular fig torso, but then I sanded down the sides so the sculpt wouldn’t be to wide, then I glued on a cut up vent piece to the bottom, to add height. He has the bottoms of 1x1 round bricks glued up towards the arm sockets, which acted as a guide for the sculpt. He also has a sculpted neck piece and an etape skirt.
The arms- The normal arm has a slight extension, but it mostly just covers the wrist to add bulk there. The gauntlet is made up of 2 technic arms, which were cut and glued together to make the hand. The hand part has a glove top and a rod, which go into the arm portion, so it’s poseable. The gauntlet arm was shortened to allow space for the sculpt and rod holder.
Both arms have the peg cut off and have glued studs in their place. This allows for the arms to actually fit into the torso sculpt.
The legs- I extended them and added on some toe sculpt. The knee pads are cut up flick gun pieces.
The head is 95% by me, and the legs, torso, and arms were all painted in various colors. (Most notably: Gold, Metallic Dark Blue, Purple, Gray, and Black)
I’m really satisfied with how he turned out, and I’m really happy with the scale I made him in.
In the top right there is a comparison.
Thanks!
-Boss.
If you read this far, please give me suggestions on what to do with those extra bigfigs....
