Modular phones are now a reality with the announcement that Google’s “Project Ara” will ship late this year.

By modular we mean that Google is hoping to build a phone where you can swap out parts like lego blocks. Want to slide in a more powerful speaker? Why not? Want a bigger battery? Go for it!
