first year, first friend
Aisling Jones and Marzia Sterling had been friends since their very first train ride to Hogwarts. They were both clumsy muggleborns with a proclivity for messiness, especially when it came to artistic works. Aisling, of course, refined her skill far more than Mariza, who merely enjoyed covering every inch of her life in pastels and glitter. They bonded over their loyalty to each other, fighting off bullies in creative ways and supporting each other when they were down. Thanks to Aisling, Marzia became more empathetic, mindful, and learned to healthily handle the negativity that festers in the world, both magical and muggle. Nothing else mattered so long as she had the friends she had learned to call family. Now they're graduating together, and they've both been through hell and back, but they've clasped each other's hands to make sure the other always pulls through.
OOC Note: This is an appreciation post, as my first MM character is now graduating. It has been nearly four years of fond memories, and I hope for many more. Aisling/Softpaw was my first friend on the sim and continues to be one of the kindest, most trustworthy people I know. She works hard for the sim, gets on it daily, and loves it with her heart and soul. She helps remind me why I love the sim and stick around even when I have absent periods, and helps me find enjoyment spending my free time here. Not only just for the fun of writing and the love of roleplay, but for what Harry Potter is at its core - friendship, creativity, and love. I would not be the person I am today without her help in my growing and learning, and for that, I will be forever grateful. My friendships here and the series itself have taught me so much when it comes to my emotions and focusing on what is most important.
