A Stone Wings Morning
I have wanted to visit the Bisti Badlands for some time now and finally an opportunity presented to visit this highly desired location to take a keeper photo. Luckily a situation opened to make the trip. A recon the day before confirmed that a morning shot between the end of Blue Hour and the onset of the Golden Hour would offer the best shooting time. Initially, I thought that the heavy overcast sky would be a negative, but what an amazing surprise to find that it would provide a complementary color theme and wonderful golden diffused light to render this image. If you like the photo, get the back story about this photo in my exposed post titled A Stone Wings Morning on my website. Note: This is best viewed on a HDR monitor.
