For this photo, I used the technique of portrait design to create emphasis on the baseball and meet the project goals. With the background blurry and the foreground in focus, there is definitely emphasis occuring.
When I was planning this photo, I intentionally decided to blur out the subject because I thought it would make it more interesting or compelling. To add onto that, I wanted to emphasize the baseball because my grandpa grew up playing it and it’s still is his favorite sport. Also, I didn’t want to do the typical portrait.
Overall, I think I did well on editing the photo on photoshop.
However, I wish I could have captured a different background in the photo that would be less distracting.
