SSG (ret) Sal Giunta, 10JAN17

On Tuesday, January 10, the Modern War Institute hosted Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sgt. (Ret.) Salvatore (”Sal") Giunta for a series of events around West Point. Giunta received the Medal of Honor for his actions while serving as a rifle team leader with Company B, 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment during combat operations against an armed enemy in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan on October 25, 2007.
