Marent Gulch
A well timed vacation to the Northwest brought me to Montana the day after a westbound freight train derailed at Quinn's MT on the 4th Sub. This brought rare westbound and heavy traffic over the 10th sub as well as the use of manned helpers over Evaro Hill for the first time in almost a decade. Here we see a westbound stack train detouring across Marent Gulch with a 4 pack of Montana Rail Link SD70ACe's pushing the train up to Arlee. Photo taken April 5, 2023.
