Ruby Tiger Moth.Phragmatobia Fuliginosa

After a few unsuccessful hours butterfly hunting on Denbies hillside(the weatherman had promised sunny intervals..ha!) with only a few bugs to fire at,on the way back up to the top I spotted this bright fella at the bottom of a grass clump. Decided at least get something. He didn't want me sticking my lens near him ,so he fluttered up to the top of this grass stem stopped for a few seconds and took off down the hillside.I managed three shots when he stopped at the tip. What an amazing coloured moth, hope you think so too.Made the visit worthwhile....I reckon.

P.S you try saying the Latin name after 3 coffees...

Please view large...he deserves it.Thanks.
